Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus pre-orders delayed at Rogers and Fido

A system error has reportedly delayed Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus pre-orders with Canadian carrier Rogers and its sub-brand Fido. The news arrives via MobileSyrup, who says that in-store pickup for pre-order customers was set to start “as early as” April 17. However, customers are now being asked to wait until the official April 21 release date while the internal mistake is fixed.

According to one of MobileSyrup’s sources, the delay occurred because “someone at Rogers forgot to upload all the IMEI codes” into its databases ahead of the Easter weekend. LG V20 coming to more Canadian carriers in a few days

It looks like the LG V20 is in high demand in Canada. The device is currently only available on the smaller carriers Freedom Mobile and Videotron. But that is about to change, as it will soon be available on three additional carriers in the country. LG has recently announced that the V20 is coming to Rogers, to Fido, as well as to Bell. The smartphone will be available starting March 9.

You might soon be able to do online banking with smartwatch verification

SK Telecom in South Korea has just received an international certification from the Fast Identity Online Alliance for its smartwatch identity verification system. This means in the near future, you could use your smartwatch to access online banking data and verify transactions.
