The Sprint/T-Mobile merger may be off for good

T-Mobile and Sprint are the biggest “will they or won’t they” story since Ross and Rachel. We’ve watched for years as SoftBank, who owns Sprint, and Deutsche Telekom, who owns T-Mobile, have danced around a merger of the nations third and fourth largest carriers. Things had seemingly begun to heat up over the last few months, but a new report is throwing water on the merger.

Here we go again: Sprint and T-Mobile merger talks may resume

The merger of two of the nation’s biggest wireless carriers might be in play once again. A new report claims that formal merger talks between Sprint and T-Mobile could begin sometime in April.

The report comes from Reuters, citing unnamed sources. It claims that SoftBank, the Japanese company that acquired a majority stake in Sprint back in 2013, may be willing to give up its control of the carrier to Deutsche Telekom, the owners of T-Mobile US, in an effort to merge both carriers. Japan is getting Star Wars Mobile phones, and we’re all jealous

SoftBank, the leading Japanese carrier, is marking the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story by launching Star Ware Mobile phones.

Made by Sharp, there are two variants of the Star Wars Mobile phones allowing you to choose your allegiance with the Dark Side or the Light Side.

While the smartphones run Android 6.0 Marshmallow, they are heavily skinned around the Star Wars theme. Also, there are live wallpapers that make the phone look like an X-Wing or TIE fighter cockpit and of course, there are Star Wars emojis and ringtones.
